Holmium Oxide Powder Introduction
Holmium (III) oxide, also known as Holmia, is a light yellow powder that is one of the most paramagnetic substances known. Holmium Oxide has specialized uses in ceramics, glass, phosphors, and metal halide lamps, and dopant to the garnet laser. Holmium can absorb fission-bred neutrons. It is also used in nuclear reactors to keep the atomic chain reaction from running out of control. Holmium Oxide is one of the colorants used for cubic zirconia and glass, providing yellow or red coloring. It is one of the colors used for cubic zirconia and glass, providing yellow or red coloring. It is also used in Yttrium-Aluminum-Garnet (YAG) and Yttrium-La-Fluoride (YLF) solid-state lasers found in microwave equipment (which are found in a variety of medical and dental settings).
Holmium Oxide Powder Applications
Holmium oxide can be used to manufacture new light source dysprosium holmium lamp, as an additive of yttrium iron holmium yttrium aluminum garnet, as well as preparation of metal holmium, glass colorant, special catalyst, luminescent material, and laser material. Holmium oxide can also be used in glass, ceramics, the electronic industry and so on.
