Cerium(III) Carbonate Hydrate

Cerium carbonate is a white powder in appearance. It is non-toxic, tasteless, non-irritating, safe, and reliable. It has no chemical reaction with water and organic matter, and its radioactivity is less than 0.8bq/g. Cerium carbonate can be prepared by precipitation of carbonic acid.

Cerium(III) Carbonate Hydrate Applications

Cerium carbonate can be used to produce cerium chloride and incandescent lampshade, an intermediate compound of cerium, the raw material of cerium chloride, cerium oxide, and other cerium compounds. It can also be used to manufacture automobile exhaust purification catalyst.
